Project Overview:
Cosy Creative 2.0, running from 1st February to March 30th, seeks two passionate community artists to lead workshops on Thursdays and Saturdays (2 hours each). With a focus on addressing winter isolation and mental health challenges, the project aims to build a sense of community through creative expression. The artists will deliver 11 workshops for £1,375 each, comprising 7 individual workshop and 2 joint planning sessions and 2 joint delivery workshops contributing to a unique art piece for Coventry Central Hall’s Art & Community Hub.
Person Specification:
We are seeking artists with:
– Experience: Proven history of community engagement projects.
– Artistic Skills: Proficiency in various mediums adaptable to diverse skill levels.
– Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work harmoniously with fellow artists and community members.
– Community Sensitivity: Understanding the dynamics of diverse communities, particularly in Coventry Central Hall.
– Project Management: Strong organizational skills, including budget management.
– Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to adjust to evolving community needs.
– Advocacy and Empowerment: A commitment to empowering communities through art.
– Evaluation and Reflection: Capacity to assess project impact and contribute to ongoing improvement.
– Passion for Community Building: Genuine enthusiasm for fostering social cohesion and well-being.

Selection Timeline:
– Deadline for Applications: January 5th, 2024, 5 pm.
– Selection Date: January 9th, 2024.
– Notification: Successful and unsuccessful candidates will be informed by the end of the day on January 12th, 2024.
– Interviews: January 18th, 2024. (Time to be communicated)
– Planning Sessions: January 25th and 27th
– First Workshops: February 1st and 3rd, 2024.
